Ilmor Engineering Inc was incorporated into the USA in 1990 with the primary goal of providing engineering support to the growing list of customers using the Ilmor Ltd manufactured Chevrolet 265A Indy Car engine.
Now housed in a 3,720 sq-meter (40,000sq-ft) facility in Plymouth, Michigan Ilmor Inc’s 80 personnel offer design, development and manufacturing services in addition to our world class engine build and test capability.
Our recently expanded manufacturing area is able to produce high quality, low-volume components to complement Ilmor Engineering Ltd’s capabilities.
In addition to our racing programs, Ilmor Inc provides engineering and support services to customers for high-performance passenger car development and powerboat applications.
Ilmor Inc’s founding as a race support company has provided us with a culture that inherently understands all of the aspects of high performance engines. Engines supported by Ilmor have won in excess of 200 IndyCar races including 15 Indy 500 wins and 12 IndyCar driver championships.
