Although Ilmor GP's campaign in MotoGP was shortlived due to difficulties in securing sponsorship, the Ilmor V4 800cc engine continues to be put to good use. Capable of running to Formula 1 speeds (18000rpm) it is regularly being used for customer projects as an investigative R&D tool. Clients are using the engine to learn more about engine mapping and to investigate frictional losses.

We welcome enquiries from potential clients who are interested in using the Ilmor V4 engine as a development tool.
