Ilmor put in an appearance at the 2008 PMW show in Cologne for the first time. Organised by Professional Motosport World magazine and held in Cologne, Germany the show saw many of the world's leading motorsport companies exhibiting their products and services.
The Ilmor MotoGP engine and bike proved very popular with the visiting delegates, with the intricate details of the 215bhp 800cc V-Twin attracting some very positive comments and parallels being drawn to modern F1 engines.
Ilmor also exhibited several examples of machined-from-solid components, the most intriguing being the cylinder block from Ilmor's 5-stroke research engine, due to the different sized cylinder bores.
