The Ilmor dynamometer facilities are used for more than just testing our own racing engines. Dyno cells can be hired out so that clients can test their own engines, from OEM's to racing teams right through to club racing competitors.
- 6 water brake dynos and 1 full transient electric dyno
- Power operating range: 10 - 1000bhp
- Torque capacity: Up to 1200Nm
- Speed range: Up to 20000rpm
- Emissions testing with Horiba MEXA 7170D gas analyser
- CO CO2 THC CH4 NO/NOx O2 feedgas/tailpipe analysis
- AVL 415 smoke-meter (optimisation of DISI and CI combustion)

- Control/measurement logging integrated into the testbed

Ilmor can provide design support to carry out the initial engine installation work to ensure that testing can commence as soon as possible. Clients can choose to use the Ilmor dynos to carry out their own development testing, or take advantage of Ilmor's extensive experience in engine development. Our development engineers will be able to compile and supervise development test programmes for your engine and make recommendations based on your requirements.
