Design Engineer and Development Engineer

Ilmor Engineering has a successful track record of designing and manufacturing racing engines for the very highest level of motorsport. We are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer and a Development Engineer, to join our expanding Race Engineering department.

 

Design Engineer:

• A good degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.

• Conscientious and someone that can work individually or as part of a team.

• 3+ yrs experience of designing engine components.

• Someone who has a good understanding of modern manufacturing techniques and DFM (design for manufacture).

• Experience of failure analysis would be a bonus- although we can train in this area.

• Catia V5 experience is preferred but not essential.

 

Development Engineer:

• A good degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and engine systems.

• Conscientious and someone that can work individually or as part of a team.

• 3+ yrs experience of working in a development environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.

• Engine test/ engine calibration experience.

Engine Build Technician

Engine Build Technician - Permanent Position

As part of the Engine Build team at Ilmor your primary tasks will be to build race and road engines, test rigs and sub assemblies. 

Applicants will have race engine build experience.

In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate the following professional and personal attributes:

  • manage timescales in an effective and efficient manner
  • communicate well with all company depatments
  • strive constantly for quality and efficiency
  • the ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team
  • work with honesty and integrity at all times
  • a geniune desire and determination to deliver commitments
