Manual Machinist

As part of the manufacturing team at Ilmor, you will be involved with a diverse range of projects and components.
To be successful in this role you should have significant previous experience of operating manual machines as well as the ability to understand technical drawings and produce parts to tight design tolerances.


Applicants should be capable of competent operation of:
 Manual Lathe
 Bridgeport Manual Mill
 Semi-CNC Lathe


Other roles intended to be part of daily work for which training will be provided by Ilmor include:
 Dot Matrix Part Marking
 Laser Part Marking
 Billet stamping and loading/unloading of automated machine loading systems


In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate the following personal attributes:
 Honesty and integrity at all times
 The ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team, even when under pressure
 A genuine desire and determination to deliver commitments

CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer


As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team at Ilmor, you will be primarily tasked with creating CNC programs for both machined from solid and cast components for our range of 3, 4 and 5-axis machines. 


Specifically:
• Basic use of Catia V5 CAD package.
• Programming using Open Mind Hypermill.
• Simulation of finished programs using Vericut.
(Experience in the above packages is useful but not essential.  Training may be provided if required.)


Suitable applicants would be able to:
• Work in an organised manner.
• Follow Ilmor procedures.
• Manage timescales and plan work efficiently.
• Communicate well within the company, particularly with Designers, Machinists and Inspectors.
• Strive constantly for quality and efficiency.

Plating Plant Supervisor

Plating Plant Supervisor


As part of the manufacturing team at Ilmor, you will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the Nikasil plating plant.


Specifically:
• The initial setup and commissioning of the plant equipment.
• Control over the logistics surrounding the operation.
• Operating the plant machinery.
• Maintaining the equipment.
• Basic inspection of plated parts.


No previous experience or understanding of the plating process is required.


Suitable applicants would be able to:
• Work in an organised manner.
• Follow process information precisely.
• Keep detailed and accurate records.
• Maintain high levels of tidiness and cleanliness.
• Appreciate the importance of adhering to safety protocols when dealing with process chemicals.
