Sales Consultant - Part Time (Permanent)

Sales Consultant – Part Time              Permanent Position

As part of the manufacturing team at Ilmor you will be primarily tasked with selling the capabilities of the machine shop and promoting the Ilmor brand. 


Suitable applicants will be experienced in marketing the services of a typical machine shop environment. Preference will be given to candidates who are experienced within the Automotive and Aerospace industries.


In addition, you will also be expected to demonstrate the following professional and personal attributes:
• Manage timescales in an effective and efficient manner
• Communicate well with all company departments
• Strive constantly for quality and efficiency
• The ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team
• Work with honesty and integrity at all times
• A genuine desire and determination to deliver commitments

Manufacturing Scheduler

Manufacturing Scheduler                   Permanent Position

As part of the manufacturing team at Ilmor you will be primarily tasked with defining the manufacturing schedule for the machine shop. Additional tasks will involve supporting the planning and logistic functions of the business. Candidates from an engineering background would be preferred but not essential.


Suitable applicants will have a good PC and communication skills be familiar with, and ideally have, a good working knowledge of the following:

• Seiki Scheduling or an equivalent scheduling software

• One or MRP systems


In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate the following professional and personal attributes:

• The ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member of a team

Opportunities within Design & Manufacture and Dynos

Design Engineer


• A good Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree.
• In depth understanding of IC engine systems, experience preferred.
• Strong interest in engine design, manufacture, assembly and test.
• Excellent engineering principals, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• CATIA V5 preferred, FEA and/or CFD skills would be an advantage.

 

Development Engineer


• A good Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree.
• In depth understanding of IC engine systems, experience preferred.
• Strong interest in engine development, assembly and test.
• Excellent engineering principals, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• CATIA V5 skills would be an advantage.

 

Simulation Engineer


• A good Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree with at least two years post graduate experience in engine simulation.
• Knowledge of gasoline direct injection combustion systems.
• Experience in steady-state and transient CFD simulation of engine components (preferably using Converge).
• Experience in 1D engine simulation (preferably using GT-Suite).
• An ability to manipulate 3D CAD and extract geometry for simulation models (preferably using Catia V5).

 

Experienced Manufacturing Engineer


To be responsible for defining manufacturing processes for both machined from solid and cast components.
• A good Mechanical based Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience producing NC code for complex billet and cast components.
• Experience producing CNC programs, and designing jigs and fixtures.
• Open Mind HyperMILL, CATIA V5 and Vericut Simulation experience preferred.

 

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer


• A good Mechanical based Engineering degree.
• Desire to fulfil a role in off -line programming.
• CNC programming experience would be beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Open Mind HyperMILL and Catia V5 preferred.

 

Dyno Technician:

• Previous engine testing experience (either OEM or Motorsport) required
• Good understanding of base engine operation
• Working knowledge of engine management systems
• Good mechanical aptitude and communication skills
• Conscientious, hard working with a clean and tidy approach
