You would be working for a business which is highly invested in technology, at the forefront of engineering developments and in an environment which truly has a family feel and everyone knows your name. We are now looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the supply chain function end to end.
You must be able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of working to AS9100 & ISO9001 Standards an advantage
• A background in Aerospace / Automotive / Motorsport Manufacturing
• The ability to lead and motivate
• IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data
• Understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain
Day to Day tasks / responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement logistics strategies and policies for cost optimisation and enhancing supply chain efficiency
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organisational goals
• Monitoring inventory levels, analysing demand patterns and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses
• Prepare and present reports on logistics department activities, performance metrics and cost savings to higher management
• Manage existing and new supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and issue resolution
• Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement and report on sourcing effectiveness
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, commercial assurance and risk mitigation
• Improve the overall performance of the department
• Introduce innovative ideas to help shape the logistics function
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and business best practice at all times
• Flexible in order to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work additional hours to fulfil the project requirements.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats.
• Fork truck experience although training will be given.
• Some experience of European or International freight and shipping

• IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data
• Suitable qualifications in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems Management
Day to Day tasks / responsibilities include:
• Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
• Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement and report on sourcing effectiveness
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, commercial assurance and risk mitigation
• Improve the overall performance of the department
• Provide reporting and detail as ana d when required and represent the department in relevant meetings
• Introduce innovative ideas to help shape the Quality function
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact
• Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality
• Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality
• Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
• Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and business best practice at all times
